We took some time today to sit down with each of our L2R students in Konta-Line and get to know them a little better. Usually when you ask teenagers in Sierra Leone what kind of job they want to have when they get older, they have trouble coming up with an answer (or just repeat whatever answer their friend just gave). But, in Konta-Line, these students know what they want and are passionate about it.
One student told me he wants to be president so he can help the people of Sierra Leone. Another student said she wants to be a doctor and travel the world. One particularly honest student said she wants to be a lawyer so she can make lots of money.
If these students have as much determination in the classroom as they’ve had in L2R, they just might get there.
